Episode 116: Rita with Cardenas Institute

Rita is a passionate Somatic and trauma therapist, Freelance educator, public speaker and story-teller. She is also a Group facilitator, Community- builder, agent of change and happy aunt.

She loves her work and is thrilled to be a part of the global community that strives to bring an effective blend of experience, expertise, clarity, concern and action to the counseling and educational process in order to maximize outcomes and provide genuine healing and wholeness to children, young adults, adults, couples, and families. 

One of her goals is to do what she can in her professional and personal life to honor her mother and grandmother and to honor her Black and Inca ancestors by intentionally including and acknowledging the importance of understanding and respecting different cultures. She says “I stand by identifying, increasing, and acknowledging resources that every culture brings to the table.”
