Hola! We aim to celebrate, preserve, and elevate Mexican and Latina cultural heritage through authentic storytelling, education, and community empowerment.

Seasons 1 - 9 are now available to binge listen on your favorite podcast app or you can watch the episodes on YouTube.

Come join the community in person!

What started as a podcast…is now growing to in-person meet-ups!

The Elevating La Cultura Podcast is hosted by Karina Mora, a photographer and speaker. And what better way to grow a community, keep sharing stories than to do it over brunch! Karina and Episode 9 guest Veronica Amador are partnering each month to host a Jefas Brunch Networking Event each month!

This is a time to get to know other Latinas and share our stories. Come as you are, as we share a meal, get to know each other, and encourage each other in where we are in life.

Hola!!! Things are growing! While I’ve been building an amazing community through the podcast, and have started hosting in-person events, I really wanted a place where we can connect on-line, and FB is the simplest way to stay connected with all of you in between all of the in-person events.

Plus I can connect with all of you who are not local to Chicago. Soooo, it’s a win win! I'm so glad you're here!

Karina is the founder of Elevating La Cultura Podcast

She is a Mexican-American living in Chicago, who has been on a journey to reverse her assimilation to western culture and dive in deeper into her roots. She hopes that by elevating conversations with other Latinas, their stories can develop a deeper understanding of their experiences, and empower others with their own life choices.

She is also a speaker educating about Mexican culture, calling out stereotypes, and helping people reclaim their cultural legacies. Read more about her signature keynote.

To hear her story listen to episode 2 on the podcast.

I believe the more we share our stories, the more we can become connected, and elevate la cultura for the generations to follow.
